You got there ahead of me, but I thank you for the effort.
Interesting that she attributes the verse from James to Luke. I mean, she’s got the Bible right next to her heart. You’d think she could get it right.
Strong with this one, the martyr complex is.
Dan Savage has posted that this is false. Luke 16:18 is a hint.
I doubt that her kind of fundy would cite either that bit of Luke (divorce is not allowed) or James (works are greater than faith alone). And while the level of functional illiteracy is tempting to believe, here ability to work as a county clerk argues against it.
In the end, I’d be much more surprised if it is her work than if it was a forgery.
